The Salyer family has been in agriculture for over 80 years. Salyer American Fresh Foods began as a premium quality commodity grower-shipper in 1986. Privately owned, Salyer American has grown to be one of the largest grower-shippers of premium vegetables in the West Coast.

We began as a premium-quality commodity grower / shipper…and we remain one. We began our company with the goal to move away from the rigid corporate structure, and be more responsive to the needs of fresh produce customers. Today, Salyer American is one of the top grower shippers of western vegetables in the United States. We know that our story does not end with us, but rather with our customers, and ultimately with a positive experience with our products and the consumer.

Because we're vertically integrated, we control our produce from seed to harvest. By overlapping our planting schedules, we provide a year-round continuity of supply and the highest standards for food safety.
